About Us

Howard Horowitz, Club President 2014-2015.

Welcome to the world of Rotary, the oldest & largest service club in the world with more than 1.2 million members. Rotary is a grassroots organizations that gives you the opportunity to network and do good things for the community.

Let me tell you a little bit about the Rotary Club of Miami Dadeland Pinecrest. We sponsor an annual golf tournament to raise money to provide scholarships for worthy young people who need help to continue their education. Through our Book Bag Project we support the Community Partnership for Homeless in Homestead by supplying school supplies to the children of homeless families. We also support the CHARLEE Program by providing Thanksgiving dinners to families of foster children. These are a few of our local projects. In addition to contributing toward the eradication of Polio worldwide, we recently donated $20,000 to Project Medishare in Haiti to purchase optical scanning equipment for their clinic.

Although our club is about helping those in need, we are also about fellowship. In addition to our weekly breakfast meeting, we have several social events during the year, including a monthly dinner at various local restaurants and a Networking/Social Hour once a month.

You will find that our members are a very diverse group of business leaders and professionals. We have a group of enthusiastic and energetic members who are excited about new projects and the fellowship that we share.  Please give me a call at (305) 613-6744 or email me at pinecrestrotary@gmail.com if you have any questions or to let know when you can attend a meeting.
